What I ultimately ended up doing was buying the camburg inner clevis and JD tie rod since he had some aluminum ones for my kit length on hand. Since I already have the tie rod end double shear kit, he's supplying me with the inner heim, lock nut and tie rod itself. It'll look like this, and I plan on coating it with some steel-it, probably.

I sound deadened my other two doors today, this is the only pic I got. Went for a test drive on city streets and couldn’t tell a difference if I’m being honest. We’ll see on the highway. I still have a decent bit of material left over for the roof but not enough for total coverage. I’m just going to use what I have and call it good enough.

I never did the roof.... the floor pan up the kick panels and firewall made a big difference also

That’s what I was thinking as well. Just use what I have to double up what I already have on the floor pan up front. There’s more noise coming from there than the ceiling. Plus it’s easier.

You tried a different approach, using 2000 grid sandpaper on the outside.

So 50 sq/ft for a single cab would be a good guestimate?

I would say so. But I would rather over estimate because you can always double up if there’s leftover and get extra sound deadening ability
