Fivemile Pass has several trails. One that I did was Rattlsnake, or I think that’s what it was called.

The current thinking is that it might be my drivers side tie rod. The noise sounded different this morning. Lifted the front end with the low profile Daytona high-lift jack from Harbor freight (these are sweet jacks for the money) and got zero noise.

I had some work done. Let me see if I can dig up some pics.

EDIT: I found the pics. I believe I used a company called Frontline Ready Dent Repair. A guy by the name of Mike ran the company and was a one man show. I tried Google searching for contact info, but it doesn't seem like he is still in the business. Anyway these were the results.

Just got a quote from the tint factory? For my front two windows and the rear window on my shell.

For real. After all the emissions standards they push on us that cost us to clean up the air, how much worse for our health is this smoke? And can we send them a bill for all this pollution they're dumping on us now?

    not enough.
seriously, the summers were supposed to be nice with low smoke levels. but the winds aren't doing us any favors and bringing all that smoke over. usually, their smoke goes into the pacific. but nooOOOooo the winds have to bring them here. *sigh* can't win here.

supposed to get some weather this week. hopefully that'll help.

I am looking forward to the highs being in the 70s they are forecasting for tomorrow and Thursday. I am over the heat and ready for fall.

    I had mine done at:

    TINT SPECIALISTS F1 OF UTAH

    4662 SOUTH 160 W
    MURRAY, UT 84107

I went with the Pinmacle Formula One Ceramic. The extra money for the ceramic tint is well worth it. I can have the summer sun beating down on me through the window and no heat transfers. I just had them do my front windows. But in hindsight, I should have had them go over the factory tint with the ceramic in the rear to cut down on heat transfer all around.

what's funny about that is the smoke has been putting our high's fairly low. Keeping the sun a little out. so....silver lining of all this cancer inducing smoke?

Why do you say their smoke usually goes to the pacific? Prevailing winds in the US and Canada are from the southwest. This is why the bulk of our weather comes in off the pacific and across the great basin. That same wind pattern should push all of their smoke east and north to Nevada, Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, and the rest of the country. This actually makes California's wildfire problems a US-wide problem, not just this year but in to the future.

Not intending to be combative, wondering if I'm missing something...

I highly recommend Tint Specialists. They've done several vehicles for me. Top-quality work every time. They did my Tacoma 6-ish years ago and the tint still looks brand new. Most recently they did my other truck which is a full size crew cab at a ridiculously reasonable $170.00. They were booked out weeks ahead when I set my last appointment, though, so call ahead.

early on in the season a lot of the smoke from the california side was going into the pacific. Sparing us. and then the winds shifted.

Also, I know you're not combative. Lol. You good.
