I was changing my oil today on schedule as usual. I drained the oil and everything appeared normal until I got ready to refill my oil. I took off the cap and discovered a lot of this gunk where The oil gets poured in. The oil that I drained looked fine, but not where I pour it in. I'm not sure what caused it. I haven't been in any water or mud. The only things I have done to my engine lately is add an aem cai and switched to synthetic. Anybody have any guesses as to the cause? Here's a pic of what I found.

My only guess is it is a water oil mixture...but I can't figure out why I only discovered it up top
