    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

    Niagara Rim Trail is the closest named trail. It's up 108 past Strawberry off 5N01. (Highly recommend)

    If you want to do fire road type stuff, there's hundreds of miles of trail between Tuolumne (south) Dodge Ridge (North) 108 (West) Cherry Lake (East)

    Actually... I have a question for the locals

    @Drtgrl @nDub

    Do you guys have any experience with 5N95? Follows Middle Fork Stanislaus from the top (inlet) of Beardsley to the base of Donnell Dam.

    A couple years ago the gates were locked and the FS rangers told me the road was damaged and most likely wont be repaired. That was probably 5 years ago. I wanted to go from lyons reservoir up to donnells damn. If its open Im gonna be up there in a week haha. But with the fires and the amount of downed trees, I think its most likely closed

    Ya, the Forest Service OHV tech for the Summit District was actually really cool. We stood around and talked to him for nearly a half an hour. Gave us maps and some local intel. He said the road up to the dam was open, and the road that runs up to the East from the damn is open, but pretty worked over.

    Easy drive, it’s open as I passed the open gate two weeks ago and commented that we need to go out there. Might roll the bike up this week after work one day to check it out. Disclaimer- I have not drove it this year.

    Yeah it’s open. I was just talking to someone who did it a couple of months ago. He said it would be a good idea to have high clearance for a couple of sections but otherwise ok drive.

    Disclaimer: he did it on a motor cycle*
