    https://www.txdmv.gov/motorists/consumer-protection/lemon-law

How do I know if my vehicle is a Lemon?
The vehicle must meet all of the following conditions:

    1. It has a substantial manufacturing defect
    2. The defect is covered by a manufacturer’s written warranty
    3. The owner reports the defect to the dealer or manufacturer within the warranty term
    4. The owner gives the dealer a reasonable number of attempts to repair the defect or condition
    5. The owner gives the manufacturer written notice (preferably by certified mail) of the defect and at least one opportunity to cure the defect; (Sample letter)
    6. The defect persists and substantially impairs the vehicle’s use or market value, or creates a serious safety hazard.

So is the defect "substantial" enough? Probably not, but whostosay...

What I’ve learned about laws like that are that anything can be fixed by the courts provided you pay the attorneys enough. Usually 5+ times the cost to replace the entire vehicle.

I had a “Lemmon” boat I purchased a decade ago. After several depositions and about 25k in attorney fees, the manufacturer declared bankruptcy 2 days before the trial started. He told me we could continue to peruse it, but we’d end up with pennies on the dollar.

EDIT: While I don’t see Toyota declaring bankruptcy, I do see a legal department that could delay until you’ve spent every dime you have and can borrow.

Not wanting to go a lemon law route at all, especially right now. Just want to see if Corporate will perhaps go beyond just swapping the part out and maybe do some insulation or increase airflow to that area. In the end, I do not want to get rid of my Tacoma at all, just want to make that drip stop happening because this truck may very be the last gasoline-powered truck I purchase. I tend to keep a vehicle for quite a while.

    SSC2 ditch lights installed.

for anyone going the diode route the DD heavy duty harness doesn’t fit against the windshield the pigtail they provide is way too long, it hits the windshield i had to cut it and use the pigtail that comes with the actual light to make it fit without hitting the windshield when the hood goes up

I was actually referring to "rock lights," but after your comment noticed that little round guy up there. Good job there too, because I totally missed it

Fit up a titanium intake tube for my truck. Still need to weld it and it will get a gold color on each seam.

I used to build customized fully working F-16 cockpits simulators, so I can see a number of scenario's on this - and honestly - I would have expected KC to include a 2nd KC3300 relay. \
WHY would they propose that ridiculous wiring solution? I dunno.

Honestly - companies are always cutting corners to push out a product before its fully baked and the wiring solution is typically 'Whatever they could get to work' in DEV. So this doesn't really surprise me one bit - that and they didn't add in the pins on diagram. There are a LOT of relays on the market that you can use for any type of solution you would like.

But - oh well. The question was asked by the forum member, so I answered it. Hope it helped. If it did - great! If not, I tried.

Finally… that factory rigged tailgate insert/liner is gone.

I didn’t have too spend to much on a mountain hatch or anything else. Straight up CNC’d and made in Canada.

Quality is VERY high, at 200$CA with taxes, shipping to my door. It needed a 20 minute install and done.

It is a Gar-Fab from @somebody . You can find him on Instagram pretty easily.
