Ha, yeah. Drizz't isn't really up my alley and the MTG and more recent D&D books feel a bit YA for me

The only thing I think HOAs are good for is keeping houses in your neighborhood from becoming rental properties. That's happening in my neighborhood and it's lowering my property value.

True for everybody, but the cost of home-ownership is more than just a mortgage and utilities. It's almost like the great and powerful financial institutions want to have guaranteed income for your whole life.

You know, we're the only animals that pay to live on this planet.

    Oh, I enjoyed it.

We did some fun stamping today. I'm just looking for consistent hours, better pay, overtime, work during rain, and closer location to my girl.

Other than better pay, DOT job would be right up your alley. We work regardless of the weather, there's overtime available almost every weekend, the benefits are great the vacation is obnoxious and the pay is... Well, you get paid. Lol

    Done!

I tell everyone who will listen, read Awaken Online. It's litRPG but has so much psychological thought lines that are really interesting. Plus Jason's just a pure and simple fun character to follow. The spin off Tarot series is also very good and if you want the full world lore, you need to read all of them in order as they intersect each other. Hellion (the latest book) was amazing. Also the Author is super chill and will answer your questions and has a discord where we all bounce theories off him. He's got a background in psychology and it really shows in his books.

I'm up to date with Awaken Online. I like the books okay enough to keep going, but the writing leaves a lot to be desired. I think a better editor could improve the balance of each book.

The thing I like most about the AO books is the complexity that the IRL part of the storyline adds. Even the eventual meeting between Finn and Jason is something I looked forward to simply because they could meet for real and it would have interesting implications regardless of whether or not they met in game or IRL.

AO is the only VR-centric storyline I keep up with. If you want a book to help transition from LitRPG into higher fantasy, I guarantee that you'll enjoy Something (Full Murderhobo). The audio book has a good narrator and is an acceptable version if you're into that.

EDIT: This is making me realize how much I read and the fact that I can speak on any LitRPG is testament to the fact that I'm out of good stuff to read next.

Because I didn't need any pressure. No, sir...

I could probably use my book backlog to build a new bookshelf.

I've been buying fancy hardback copies of my favorite books as I can find them. So I have some doubles and even triples if you count audiobooks.

Do you know of a good bookbinder that can do leather and gold?

I've done that for a couple as well, but am still doing fairly decent to avoiding duplicates. Caveat to the "no duplicates" rule are certain books that I've lent out to get people into the series. I'll pick up used copies when I find them, since they have a tendency to not come back.

I know of exactly zero bookbinders.

Duplicates for me are because my best read books collect all of the crud from my page destroying monkey paws.

Books and tools best naught be lent. Lest they forever find a new home nestled in foreign shelves and toolboxes.

Tools I agree with, save for trusted individuals.

Books to me are different. If I have to replace a paperback but am able to introduce someone to a potential new favorite author or universe, then it was worth the price.
