He came in 4th which from what I understand is a miracle, lotta bad luck. @skidooman has more details. Thumbs up to him, he did the legwork to sniff out the watch spot.

Once i had their carne super burrito, i realized all others were inferior. Camping is an excuse to go.

That's awesome. Gotta get the deets on that.

Just had seconds of home made spaghetti and now there’s talk of tacos Jalisco. The armadillo molcajete is ridicules. Not sure how to spell any of that

Ya that's crazy. I could build a class 8 6x6 expedition truck with 50" tires, a 600hp 15 liter engine, and a 23 ft ultra-luxury camper box for that price. And it would literally drive right over that Tacoma haha.

For that money spent on the camper (and its bulk) I would have wanted a truck with some more power.

Buddy talked me into going to the cars and coffee today. Pretty fun time. New Ford GT was there and...wow. And looks like the smoke is back on the menu

Took my daughter to move into her dorm at UNR this weekend and holy smokes, Reno has a lot of rigged up tacos. Wished I had my rig instead of a rental, but the gas prices along the 395 and 580 coming into town made me glad I didn't. :spending:

Other than being smokey what’s it like up there? I’ll be heading up Sunday for a few days to look at houses with my mom.

Hot and smokey. That's about it. Hopefully it clears up, but unlikely. Are you asking about current conditions or the place in general?

Both I suppose. Then I know if I can just stay in my hotel room drinking whiskey.

I’ll be at GSR, that place is still “fine” right?

Hot temps and housing market but both are starting to cool just a bit.

If you're looking for specifics on the area, it is like any other city...there is a map that has been posted here a few times over the years that breaks down each area and is fairly accurate.

It's a good spot. Weather lookin all sun and hot for a while. Pretty nice place depending on what you're into doing for fun. Dirt roads and 'splorin in about every direction and plenty of new places to check out thanks to the influx of people and new businesses, although there's still some areas you want to avoid downtown just because. And you can always do some whiskey drinkin. GSR is fine. Been remodeled and actually kinda nice. There's currently (last time I was there) airport-like security to get in, which was....nice.
Now all they need to do is beef up the road width so I don't keep losing my shit just to go Winco

GSR is fine. It's a casino so be prepared for indoor smoking.

If you give us some ideas on what you like to do we can probably give you some suggestions. If sitting in a hotel room drinking whiskey is your thing I won't judge. They have a driving range at the GSR which is always fun after a few cold ones (I'm not a golfer so if you're into golf the driving range might not be the same experience for you).

What are you do for fun? Where are you coming from? It’s nice here I think. We have four seasons, lots of public land, lots of desert in these parts, but a short drive will get you into the greener areas.

Housing market is jacked everywhere. My mom decided on looking at Reno due to its relative distance to home so my sister can still visit. Also the whole less taxes thing. She’s got houses to look at from NW Reno to Spanish springs and I think one more down south.

We’re in the Bay Area now. Me personally, nowadays I just stay inside doing nothing. Working on my cars, listening to music, etc. I used to go hiking and exploring in the mountains in college when I was in Santa Barbara, and when I had my 4Runner. Likely I’ll get back into that if I move up there. I’m definitely not a casino or gambling man.

We’ll be up there this time in a stock GX460 if you guys can think of a super mellow trail I can drive down that’s close.
