    Does anyone know the actual difference between pre 09 and post 09 headlights?

    Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
    09+ TRD and xrunner models, IIRC, have the "smoked" bezel around the headlight. only difference i am aware of

    Ok, just there seems to be a break then in the fitment for some reason. When you look them up they come up as 2 different things.

    ^^can you link what you are talking about? aside from the smoked and the normal models, that should be the only difference. both were available in 09+ and only the normal from 05-08.

    I was looking on toyota parts barn which I cant really link cause it just takes you to the home page. And some ebay items are listed the same way.

    Yea, I'm not quite sure why toyota parts lookup separates 05-08 and 09-11 headlamp part numbers? I want to get smoked 09-11 OEM for my 2006 but want to make sure they fit.

    they fit the same. 05-11 the difference in the numbers is some trucks have day time running lights and some trucks dont

    DRLs wouldnt make a difference in the headlight assembly. Some of the 09's have the smoked bezels and that woukd make a difference in the part numbers.
