Just finished making a lay down license plate bracket. Cheapest I found was $40 but I made this with scraps I found in the shop.

the stock bracket has the plate standing upright on the rear fender and it looks like a mini sissy bar.

Seems a lot of the parts from the street bob won’t swap over like I had planned. Luck for me I’m not afraid to take stuff apart and cut it up.

I knew right away that I wanted to get rid of the Shrek-ear rear turn signals. Unfortunately the struts on the street bob are narrower and shorter than the Low Rider S so the strut light I already have won’t be a direct bolt on. Alloy Art doesn’t make strut light for a FXLRS yet so I made some modification to make them fit. All of this with a hacksaw and a file.

A little touch up with some VHT wrinkle plus and Bob’s your uncle.

Just so I could have tiny blinkers.

Chances are nobody will ever notice this detail and even if they did, they wouldn’t realize what it took to get it done.

As an added bonus, the stock turn signals didn’t come with running light. I was able to add in an extra wire and add them. Red for running and switchback to amber for the turn signal.

All buttoned up. Lay down plate bracket and strut mounted turn signals.

I have a smaller profile on with a smoked lens but it doesn’t bother me just yet.

I was just going to ask the same thing. I didn't realize how far that brake light sticks out.

Honestly the chrome bezel bothers me more than how much it sticks out. I’ll probably swap it sooner than later. For now I just want to put some miles on it.

Still raining at my house so for the 4th day this week I drove the Tacoma. Beginning to suffer from withdrawal symptoms, 4 days in a row of not riding......

There's a vintage Japanese motorcycle show this weekend at the Eastern Motor Racing Museum near York Springs. Going to go check that out then hoping to put new tires on the FJR after I get home form the show.
