Installing a new shift cable in my daughter Jeep Wrangler. The vehicle ages then flex between frame and drivetrain cause them to come out of 4x4. It happened to me once driving it, and for whatever reason you have to come to a stop to re-engage it. Seems weird because you can get 4x4 hi on the fly I believe.???
And another concern I've had regarding the RCI sliders I put on wifes Tacoma, I believe they could trap MOISTURE, and not good kind of MOISTURE. This is rust where the transfer case support belly pan bolts to frame.

 

Yeah, mine needed a little TLC after we tortured it with a lot of towing but decided a Tundra would be money well spent. Rides like a dream but she isn't as much of looker

Ugh, anyways I got rusty crusty metal removed. And I tell you what
I believe that 3/4 of the YouTube videos out there... I swear I could do better with NO TALKING... just a few stills, maybe a occasional point and grunt! Hope i can figure out this cable installation without too much frustration.
