    Accurate

When I was still driving it to work I was behind a semi in town and knew he'd be slow going up the long stretch up the mountain. Got to the passing zone, popped it in 2nd and hit the gas. Pretty much just made more noise and didn't really go anywhere. Took me almost a 1/4 mile to pass the semi...

Truth be told that's a hard place to pass. The Camry will struggle a little bit and even the Tacoma. My old S10 with the 2.2 and 3.42 gears you couldn't even think about passing up that. I think the only thing that didn't struggle was the GTI. That thing just pulled no matter what.

Here is some back story on my Tacoma.

I could not find a new longbed anywhere in my area. Had plenty of promises from 2 stealerships and even put down a $500 deposit, but they could not find one. (TRD PreRunner 6’ bed) The best they could do was 12-14 weeks to order one and no guarantee.

Got my money back and started looking at inventory online. Started close and worked my way through the south east states. Nothing. Finally saw one in St Louis inventory and the sales manager said its been sitting here to long I’ll make you a heck of a deal. (saved me almost $2500 from the prices quoted in FL)

Sent a cashiers check to the dealership and a salesman picked us up at the St. Louis airport.

I originally planned to go solo to get the truck. One way plane ticket was $120 and gas for 1100 miles was around $180. So for $300 bucks I was saving $2200 overall.

Then the wife said I wanna go, so her, me and stepson all flew to St. Louis and drove the truck home!

We had a blast, snow everywhere, stopped at a hotel in Chattanooga, 18 degrees, about shat my britches getting off the interstate and hit an ice patch, 2 360’s in my new truck!!! Lawdy!

Just ran a ground hornet nest over mowing one of the valve yards, 9 stings (new record) and chased me about 1/4 mile. Coworker was 10’ away and they ignored him, he said he heard me screaming and *pew* gone. Lmao
On a positive note ive been deathly allergic and had no cell service or epi pen but my throat didnt close all the way this time, slammed some benadryl.

Thank you! Silver Sky Metallic looks really nice in the sun and is very forgiving. I am a manual fanatic. Kinda sucks manual is disappearing... :annoyed:

Thank you! Been lurking around here since the spring of 2021 (a little after I bought the Taco) but decided to post.

Thank you! Doesn't stay clean for long with our long snowy winters and rainy summers but that doesn't bother me one bit.
