Snapped bolt on tensioner pulley

    Hey guys/gals new here and I snapped the head on my tensioner pully bolt and with out getting a whole a** bracket is there anyone out there that knows where I can get the bolt for it please and ty

    I believe that bolt is reverse thread. Did you turn it the wrong way trying to remove it?

    At this point your probably better off getting the whole tensioner assembly.

    Most extractors are made for stand thread. You’ll pay a premium just getting the bolt out. You need a Left hand thread extractor. Or drill bit.

    IIRC, you will need to loosen/undo the AC mont to remove the tensioner. The lines can stay hooked up. Just need to move it over to access one of the bolts.

    2nd this. It'll be less of headache to just replace it and it's probably time for a new one anyway. I just replaced my pulley and it didn't help the noise coming from it so I'm getting ready to replace the tensioner now.

    Go buy a set of left handed dril bits from harbor freight . Or get the dremel/ cutting tool out and cut a flat head slot in the bolt heat it up and use a large flat head screwdriver.

    The idler pulley is reverse thread so righty loose-y. A normal drill bit will work. I would rather just replace the whole thing at that point though.
