    I want to put something under the floor mats without pulling up the carpet to block some of the heat . But I don’t think that it’s really a good option .:notsure: I’m not very mechanically inclined so I don’t want to tear up my carpet and open up a can of worms .

    Yeah, for a 2000 model year and only 90k miles it's nowhere near as bad as some I see around. Damn salt, rock and I believe calcium chloride they put on the roads in winter.
    I cant believe they don't include instructions with this cable, just tells you go look on YouTube.

    :thumbsup::thumbsup:

    I'm just complainy about my truck. My Tacoma got a decent amount of love and it helped that I could take advantage of any upgrades we made on our 15' or friends take offs. Now I don't really have anything and it looks like every other full size on the road. I've always had some sort of extraness in my vehicles so keeping this one stock for so long feels boooorrrring but I've got no legitimate reasons to do anything to it because that's what the other truck is for.

    If it's of any help, I don't think you can really destroy much, at least that's how it is in ours. The carpet is cut open underneath the front seats around the venting to the back which I assume you have in your access cab. You could take the passenger seat out plus your door trim there and you should have enough lift to get underneath the carpet to put some sort of heat barrier.

    Fwiw, ours is super hot as well. Melted gummies in my purse on a long trip so I stopped keeping it up front.

    I remember in high school a teacher telling us
    “Tomorrow is the final exam and I will not accept any excuse for missing it short of nuclear war, a death in the family or you’re in the hospital”
    Being a smartass I asked “What if I’m suffering from severe sexual exhaustion?”
    She was quick.
    “You’ll just have to write with your other hand”

    Maybe :notsure: I have Weathertechs and used to have the rubber all weather mats on top of those but they got old . I was thinking about sticking some foil backed insulation onto the bottom of the WTs . Or I could get that muffler heat tape stuff and wrap the exhaust under the cab .

    That begs the question… Why are you pet-free? I know you like dogs. You’ve posted pics of your friends dogs. :notsure:

    We always had a dog or two when I was growing up and my mom refused to potty train themo_O. I decided that shit wouldn't happen in my house. But I generally like dogs and cats, just don't want one.
    The neighborhood dogs like to shit in my yard so that takes me back to my childhood:(

    I've waited a week for a new drum for our chipper to come in (drum wasn't damaged, but key slot for shaft was absolutely destroyed) and...and...it's not the right one :smash:. There are no other ones I could have ordered so now I'm trying to call the vendor and...nobody!! Fuck yeah
