A few of us were talking about you at my last WV Tacomaworld meet because we haven't heard from you in a long while. Hope all is well?

 

I’m still trying to get up there for that camp spot with the view you sent me.

 

Evening fellers! I just got back from a 10 day road trip to Colorado in the old trusty 4runner. I got it on the Alpine Loop and did Engineer Pass and Cinnamon Pass, Animas Forks and Yankee Boy Basin. Those ledge trails were nerve racking! I never had so much anxiety before, I think I got permanent indentations in the steering wheel! It was an odd sensation being up at 12.800 feets, the scenery up to the Tundra line were beyond words, then just the shear size of the mountains is humbling, to say the least.

What was the timeline of the drive out there and back? How much gas did you consume? were planning to do a similar trip in the spring.
