Ever since it featured a built-in GoPro windshield mount, that was the actual silly selling point that determined my decision to trade in my 2005 SR5 PreRunner V6 Taco back in 2017...

    ...I still don't own a GoPro...

...I just practically have an over-priced driveable/rolling GoPro mount.

Because I have gone 5+ years not using any type of mounted camera product, I can live without it.

I was just reflecting back the reason why I got a 3rd Gen...was because of the GroPro mount...

Fast forward to present day...I financed ~$38k for an unused GoPro mount...haha.

You aren’t gonna need a dash cam every day but the day you do it could save you in a court case

I'm not sure if it affects all the new Tacomas, but my Sport no longer has a GoPro mount.

I sold my stock rims 2 months after I bought the truck for $500, used that money to buy a go pro hero 3 (2016 at the time).... used it idk, 4-5 times. been sitting the a box for 5 years now and probably not worth a 1/4 what I paid for it, if that.

I had a GoPro a while back. Probably around the same time. The files are too fuckin big you can't even share them. Kind of a waste.

I understand what you're trying to say and your advice...

...but the point of my post was to joke that I purchased a "camera mount" for over $38k when I never intended to actually use it.

I briefly meandered the interwebs looking for older GoPro Hero5's and 6's thinking they would be reasonably priced...then read up on their specs and determined the newer ones [to me] were worth the price for the more recent features and stuff...Alas, I still don't feel like getting one and would rather spend money on other things...Shopping ADHD of sorts...haha.

I know what your point was, I was just suggesting a use for your overpriced camera mount on wheels

count yourself smart because GoPro's are a novelty for the vast majority of owners. Only a small percentage use them regularly and even fewer use them to generate and type of income. If you did buy a GoPro and mount it, chances are that you would have used it a handful; of times and then it would have just collected dust, so you saved a few hundred bucks and are in the same place as far as the truck.

Some people buy new because they need tires or brakes and sometimes just because theirs is so dirty .

    Ah gotcha gotcha. :hattip:

Admittedly, this version of a GoPro mount is one of the more versatile types I love!
