Our house is 100 years old, our door knobs regularly pop off for no reason. It can't handle that kind of modernism

 

Huh that's pretty cool I'll have to look into that. Those mounts are so flimsy I'm not surprised it's so common.

I haven't even had my ifs skid mounted for almost a year now, lol. The only hardcore wheeling I do anymore is with a stroller

 

So you guys have things like a chesterfield and davenport in the living room, and say...a lowboy in the bedroom

 

I don't know what any of those things are

 

Need an adult, and I mean an adult-adult

Never lived there, but I do have a 15-year-old highway map of the state in my car.

I most certainly do, and can show someone how to use a lensatic compass to shoot an azimuth, not to mention utilize the G/M angles to convert and plot locations on a map grid.

 

Man that looks fun right now.
It is a little unfortunate that most of the gates are closed up here in the winter around the lake. TRPA and the forest service are worried about people getting trucks stuck in the wilderness or sturing up mud and debre in to the snow melt and having it wash into the lake.

I learned how to navigate off a topographic map many years ago. I could probably still fumble through it, but not using such fancy words.

 

I'll admit, I do nerd out about the dumbest shit, and get excited about it.

 

I always had a Thomas guide in my truck. When your 16 and trying to get anywhere in California it was a game changer.

 

You know, I do miss that one pizza place...Vinny's? It's in S Lake Tahoe, and I always get 'The Carnivore' when I'm out there.
