What year model engine wiring harness will interchange with 02 tacoma 3.4 at 4x4. Looking at buying a 95, but not sure if it will fit?

The block is the same, you have a different updated 3.4 but you typically swap intakes and the harness with engine swaps. Never re-use a donor harness.

The big thing is the throttle body, its completely different.

A 95 harness will not work with a 02 electrical system.

Thanks....is it because of the speed sensor? Manual ss vs electronic?

different EVAP system, speedo signal, body side integration itself will be much different too.

harness should always be replaced with the same part number the truck came with.

unless you like wiring. you can make a 95 harness work. but its ALOT of tedious work - the level of work you may as well put a modern drive train in and wire up.

Someone else changed the motor and cut the original harness. Took it off and brought it to a electrical shop. No luck. Truck runs, but they more or less cut the transmission side of the harness. Having cranking issues, 4x4 issues...just alot of issues lol. Thanks for the help

was the harness cut near the firewall? the part number is inside the cab near the ECU. if not the VIN at a toyota dealer should send you to the correct harness to source.

No it was cut by the driver side valve cover. All the injector wires were never cut. Just the transmission and 2 evap sensor wires. I tried figuring it out, but to many of the same colored wires

harness rebuilds are annoyingly tedious. best to find an 02 with the same harness.
