The title that you posted is going to encourage a ton of opinions . So buckle up.

I cant add any useful tips about your squeak, but I think this is a good reminder to always ‘trust but verify.’ Or in the case of salesmen, ‘verify’.

I can understand your frustration, but with all due respect, you may want to re-think your thread title and the comments about not being covered under the warranty when the salesman said it would be, etc. Simply ask your suspension question....dealer says this, doesn't make sense, anyone have an opinion. If all you wanted was an answer on the suspension issue then all the other info was irrelevant and just opened the door for stuff you didn't want.

Remind me again....who believed the salesman when he said any 3rd party lift would be warrantied by the dealership?

But you're right, we're the idiots. Toughen up, buttercup.

Calling us idiots but youre the one that thought the dealer would warranty something that was modified? Comical. Put some oil on them like another member mentioned and be done with it.

i acknowledged in the earlier post I screwed up by not verifying. But I’m sure you’ve never made a mistake in your entire lift right? This forum is meant for information sharing and helping others incase you need a reminder.

You’d have to do some research, but the dealership needs to be able to show that the aftermarket lift is actually causing the issue. They can’t just blanket deny you because you have a lift. You can always run to corporate if you truly feel you’re not getting a fair shake from the dealer.

Whether or not squeaky leaf springs are actually an issue is another story, but hey, I hope it works out for you either with the dealer or the shop that installed the lift.

My AAL Lift developed a squeak after a few months. There is a TSB to replace the pads between the springs. I did that and it helped for about a year, now it is squeaking again. Nothing I can't live with.

Do you mean the sales guy who took you on a test drive or the finance manager lied to you? Because those are different sales people, both potential scum bags yes.

If you did purchase a 3rd party warranty, i take it you have read the fine print? Is it only serviceable through Toyota or can an Indy shop do the work and maybe look the other direction regarding the lift? If no one will help you, why not cancel the warranty and take the money back and let the 5/60k one suffice?

I do not know about this issue in particular but I was reviewing a TSB on vibrations and it specifically stated that vehicles with any lift are not covered. Very common exclusion.

the warranty provides 100k miles in mechanical coverage, but the 3/36,000 by Toyota has to have been exhausted before that one can be used. And of course Toyota dealership is saying it’s a non Toyota issue due to lift therefore standard bumper to bumper doesn’t apply
