Custom vehicle harnesses made to order

Hey, looking for a tap-in for my Hella 500 LEDs. They're interesting as they have an "accent" light that i would like to be on with my DRLs.

The main lights themselves i'm keeping on a separate switch which i have wired into the cargo switch thanks to puppypunter's stealth hookup.

Some guy on a jeep forum wired his accent lights up.

also, i can't wrap my head around wiring which is why i love guys like you who know what they're doing.

I think the harness I made for @ljh824 would be the closest match if you have driving lights with DRL feed. You have halogen or LED lights on your truck?

See the post linked above, the only question(s) are what the connector to your lights looks like, assuming it splits from 1 feed to the 2 lights and has 3 wires per light, one ground, one LED and one DRL/backlight?

Yeah if it’s Deutsch then I’d need visual confirmation of the pinout and lengths but that sounds comparable to @Zumozuzu7 ’s ditch lights portion.

I’ve got 400 relays ordered so I’m mostly stuck in the mud till they show up. Mouser is OOS.

 

One piece of good news though, I have a mostly started DRL light bar/pod harness from version 1 of my zumozumo solution. And that actually uses the GEP and micro relays. So I can probably repurpose that for you, @Steveko

 

So I’ve been waiting for my revtek light bar for 4 months now and it’s finally being shipped. The lights are not currently installed but my switch is in place.

here is the dual switch cargo trigger I have for @Zumozuzu7 (we do full service here in California)

 

So @Steveko , if you have a DRL light bar and DRL LED pods then your setup is an exact match with @Zumozuzu7 and I can just duplicate his pending confirmation on light bar connector. It was a bit painful to build all that stuff and it means mounting 4 full size relays.

Ha no bare wiring! That’s the oem style switch and the hella harness. I haven’t connected them as I haven’t installed the lights. 4 month wait for my light bar. I should clarify this is for the hella pods not an actual bar. Light mounting bar is more like it.

the hella harness has a pair of relays on it already.

 

So my stuff would be a replacement for the whole thing. Because wiring nerds look at unsealed relays and puke. It’s an uncontrollable reaction.

If you prefer some DIY route, you can buy an r4t DRL grille light harness and pull from that output to your DRL relay coils. Or I suppose I could sell the same thing but I prefer to not build stuff which is easy to buy.

 

Looks like maybe just switch illumination via cargo T? But black and red vs light green and tan doesn’t seem like the real Johnny. More like something @kmorgan3 might have had built?

 

Yeah that looks like a stripped down version of my cargo light T. I’ve sold quite a few with just bare leads for people to experiment on their own.

 

Kool. So, if this were me calling the shots, I’d resell that T, throw the harnesses in a drawer, and pay myself to do it all custom like I have for @Zumozuzu7 and live a happy life.

How about some footwell LED's to turn ON with unlock/lock then a few seconds later OFF, and ON when Parking/Tails is selected?

 

Footwell lights were standard on both of my 3-series BMWs. They are a great feature. Tell me more please.

It will use the Cargo Lamp circuit to turn ON the footwell LED's at Unlock/Lock and with Door opened, then they would turn OFF. Back ON when Parking/Tail is selected.
