1996 is the earliest year shown. Mine is 1995.

 

I think you're safe to go with 1996, Tacomas were first produced in 1995.5 (midway through the year) so it's probably just referred to as a 1996 on some sites

The dust boots didn't get added until the 2000 or 2001 models

Could probably reuse your castle nut if it's not all rusted or destroyed. Cotter pins you can get at any hardware store
