Do you recall if the shock/spring assembly came clear wrapped? The rears were wrapped appropriately.

    and…

the damage to the anodizing on the aluminum, will definitely rot quickly. Mine have gotten dinged up with use and I’m guessing that is some soft-ass metal under the hard coat. I would at least want to start new.

(Imagine that spider web cancer on a set of 20 year old clear coated rims and you’ll get the picture..)

Those are used my dude. I’ve put on two sets on my vehicles. Came well packed and with cling wrap on them.

The good news is: with about 50K miles on them I have been happy with the performance of this set up and the customer service from ARB, after the fact.

•Rotted Front Spherical Bearings - ARB replaced at no cost (within warranty)
•Blown Rear Shock - ARB replaced at no cost (warranty expired)

Hard to say. Could be manufacturing. No experience to base it off of.

i agree to the extent they were inadequately package

they were allowed to jostle around while they were handled

a situ that might not be remedied even tho ARB might want accomodate

Doesn’t look used…? I’d definitely look into replacement….nothing like buying something “new” that doesn’t look “new”

Those aluminum mushroom bushings, at the bottom of the shock, we’re anodized black when new on mine and the replacements also.

Again, you may have gotten a gently used rebuild/return/display. The fact that the bushing is not anodized makes me think they’re outta new stock and struggling to fill orders…

Anyone have a photo of the black anodizing?

    I appreciate everyone's Input.

I'll just have to wait until I heard back from the vendor in the am.

    That sucks.
My BP-51s were perfect out of the box and packaging was minimal but effective.
ARB will take care of you based on my experience with them but you may end up waiting a while.
Were they not in the cardboard retainers when opened the box?
I can't understand how those gouges happened. Maybe they were used.

You paid for new, undamaged. Have them replaced by the vendor, don’t get pushed off on the shipper.

The retainers were there but a bit beat up.

The vendors box was in decent condition but ARBs had some damage. The vendor may have received them like that.

I just remembered I still have a brand new rear in the box. Here is how it came.

Who did you order from? Because that’s definitely not new looking. Did any people who ordered new ones come with zip ties through the bushing that’s pictured? Almost looks like they did that to make them look “new”
