This is the trans cooler by the radiator.
The black mark by the clamp is just a shadow from the light.

Those look like the coolant hoses for the cooler… they won’t be touched. Most take off the skid plate to access the lines there…. I can’t make out the plug picture you have pictured…. The fill plug is on the passenger side of the trans near where the transfer case bolts too… near the top and the stand pipe plug to check the level is a Allen screw in the bottom of the pan….

The pic with the plug up top is the fill plug on the passenger side by the transfer case and it was untouched, drain plug next to the check plug also untouched. I had to dig the dirt out of the check plug to even read what it was lol

My friend, unless you are a multimillionaire with all the time in the world your dealership has bigger balls and better tea.

If you piss them off good enough, all they have to say is "see you in court."
You know if you go to court against these guys the first thing their lawyer will do is ask the judge to submit your car as evidence. It will then be impounded for the duration. Then they will ask for discovery which means six months of no vehicle. Then they ask for continuance and that means another six months. My point is, be careful when poking the bear. Be nice and lose the "can't lose" attitude because they can well and surely fuck you if they so choose. It does not matter you are right and have proof. By the time they are finished with you... good luck.

nah it’s not that bad. I have a friend that works there as a service advisor I’ve been dealing with. And if it goes that route then so be it, I have other vehicles I can drive in the mean time lol

This is true but they have more to lose by a very upset client leaving bad reviews and camping outside their lot exposing the dirty job they do. There are different ways to be “a thorn” on these people’s asses.

Nope. Several reasons but I will name a few...
Transmission sealed so they can build positive pressure to get nooks and crannies lubricated, and, many DYI people screw up more than they help. I have been reading this forum for years and I cringe at some of the stupid mistakes the weekend warriors make.
However, it's easy to screw something up and blame Toyota or the dealer. By sealing them they basically took responsibility of maintaining a vehicle they made. Believe it or not the percentage of DYI oil changes are now below 3% as of last year.
I changed the oil in my Tundra a month ago just for nostalgia. Realized it took zero brains but a contortionist body. I will let the high school kid at the dealership continue on my new truck.

Shit, this just reminded me I made an appointment to get an oil change yesterday.

On a separate note, the Lexus dealer now does video of what is being done or needed. Quick shot of oil draining or brake left on pads, tires being measured. Kinda cool.
