Seriously let me check with the supply house they might have a solution or better option

 

After 2 months of a vacuum hose connecting my AC condensate line to my sink drain....I finally have proper functioning plumbing roughed in! Need to cut a few inches off to bring the P trap closer to the wall, but will do that once the vanity is in place. It was 11pm & I was exhausted lol.





Also installed the new medicine cabinet. Original plan was to seal up this hole & put one behind the faucet for a more modern look. But that wall is load bearing & I didn't feel like doing sister studs & relocating the AC drip line. So I settled on a more modern medicine cabinet in the original position. My 1 requirement was a slow close hinge. The better half of my household wanted beveled edge, frameless, mirrored inner door & glass shelves. That took my options down to almost none without reframing the mounting box. Wayfair had this for 189 out the door and it's 10x better than anything I test drove at a couple local shops. The gif of it closing is real speed btw.

My thought is who cares? As long as it's tight and doesn't move, I don't pay attention to the screws.

 

Fix the damn screws. That is 100% attention to detail. Either on a 45, or vertical. Never horizontal.

 

If on a 45° do they point in or point outbtw i fixed them all vertical

 

Looking for some direction from those of you that have installed a mini split ac/heat system. My old central unit goes through freon in about 2 months - rusted out and pushing 20+ years of use. Heater works though. It's time to start planning for an upgrade in the next year. Quoted around $6k for new central system but not too interested in going that route unless I fail at the mini split adventure. I installed 2 window units this week to get me into fall.

It's a small home at 1100 square feet. I can run wire, drill holes, mount etc but can't charge the system. Anyone taken this approach? It does not look difficult and for a lot less money than a central unit. Can those systems really cool/heat the entire home?...assuming I got the right size. And I'm seeing prices from $2k and up for the system - big box stores is where I'm researching for now.

Always 45 (finishing trim work of any kind. Wood, J channel, etc)

45° is odd. Yes in sync, vertical or horizontal is fine.

 

Always vertical, but I plan on replacing all of the cover plates with the "new" snap on plates that Eaton has started pushing.

It collects dust and dirt.
