Alpha Rex alpha black headlights

After a lot of debate I decided to pull the trigger and install the alpha Rex headlights on my 2017 TRD Sport. I love the way they look. I got them from Extreme Terrain. I saw a lot of positive reviews regarding these all over the internet and a lot of negative on other cheaper brands when it comes to lighting performance. So far they are great lighting the road and come with a 2 year warranty. Over all I am really happy with them. It’s been a while since I bought anything for my truck. Extreme terrain offered me $200 store credit for filming the install so I will spend that on a set of Morimoto XB fog lights to finish off the chrome delete.

I bought them first then received an email offer, I didn’t know they were offering anything until after I purchased

 

I’ve seen his list and there’s a lot on there to be “avoided” but these are a lot better than the stock by far.

Did you somehow wire in the ability to have amber DRLs or are you just getting the photo as they flash in the startup sequence?

Needless to say output performance and pattern on both AlphaRex headlight products is awful and not at all a legitimate headlight product. They are just relabeled poor quality Vland headlights from China Alibaba, you can often buy them direct yourself and cut out the relabeled middle man charging you the mark up.

By comparison the OEM LEDs are among the highest performing headlights available as shown here. So I'd highly advise looking at OEM LED or the new Morimoto Gen2s, but definitely stay away from the Chinesium AlphaRex train wreck, aka cheap low quality Chinese Vland products that are not a legitimate headlight in the slightest.
