Thanks bro, it was time for an upgrade. I had an 85' sr5, Xterra and hardbody back in the days. Went to Hollister then. Years ago. Eons.. haha

Really stoked to go this next Friday (27th) as I just put in my 2 weeks notice and I'll be moving sooner than I thought.

Last day in Salinas is the 5th of next month, so this Hollister meet is just what I need to get the pressure off of everything lately.

How is it?

 

It's like going to Disneyland but you're only allowed to ride the merry go round!
Or like Hollister upper and lower ranch but Motorcross and ATV can go wherever they want...

And circled in red is the only area we can go and flat areas in the bottom. It's pretty fun with black diamond technicals. It was the closest in my area.

 

What time do you fellas normally meet up?

 

I haven't sent the message out yet to everyone but I'm thinking 10 am?

 

I'm like 90% sure I can get Friday off. How long do you guys normally stay out there?

 

Some guys left at around 2:30 to skip traffic on the way back

Rest of us left at about 4:30 but because we had to partake in a recovery



@Taco-Obsessed I got my winch damper from storage so I'll have it with me in the 4R; not sure why I ever put it away.

 

Got it. Anywhere to meet in specific? Any special handshake to know that we are part of the same crew?

The drive up to that road is a twisty one so just take it easy.

Once you go there, you'll drive up to a small building where they'll collect your fee (unless exempt from State parks).

From there, you drive forward only to turn back around and head out the way you came. This is your chance to take a piss/shit/wash your hands as there's a bathroom just forward in the parking lot area.

At the turn, you'll go right to continue further up the road you were on for about 1/2 mile.

You'll see a fence area to your right...continue a little further and you'll reach a locked gate with an old school house behind it.

That's where you'll put in the code on the lock you were given when you paid.
