Looks like they were used for fitment/ cycling for measurement taking and then tossed on the shop floor before repackaging. I'm thinking @MNMLST hit it on the head with the markings 100%

Yeesh. I mean, I get it and I would be on the phone to the vendor. At the same time you should see what my once shiny ADS shocks now look like. You'll get to not caring real quick!

You don't know unless you look at the threads and lower mount.

Installing them will leave bare metal there. Looks like typical former convict fedex/ups handler work lol

You paid for new. Those look used.
Or at least someone put them on, didn't like them, took 'em off and shipped them back.
    Now you got 'em.

I'd send them back and demand full refund, also work with your credit-card provider on this as well.

Leaf springs definitely always have paint scraped off them, no big deal because they will look like shit shortly anyways.
Coilovers on the otherhand different story.
I "use" my bp-51s and they have zero gouges or missing spots of powder coating.
To buy a 3,500 suspension set up, have it show up looking like his and say "no big deal, they gave me a headstart on fucking my shit up" would be borderline retarded.

Yea, id prefer to do the damage myself. Either I get a replacement, or I am compensated for the damaged goods received and I install them.

The vendor has asked for photos of the packing in which it arrived, to which I have provided. While there was some minor damage to the box that could have justified the more minor issues on the reservoirs, it seems unlikely that the spring and reservoir gouge damage was caused in transit.

I am getting so sick and tired of companies that happily send things out like this with complete disregard for the client. I bought Cali Raised bed stiffeners from Amazon.ca a few months back and they arrived in the factory sealed Cali Raised box and they have some paint chips and were missing half the washers. I ended up accepting the small discount from Amazon and went and bought more washers but it should not have happened to begin with. And I even paid $90.00 more than I could have if I had bought the Enixwill bed stiffeners that are a replica of the Cali Raised ones just out of principal. I also received my new topper from Leer and the paint is messed up on it and now they are having it repainted for me. 12 week wait just for disappointment...

I understand the sentiment, but would you buy a brand new truck with a bunch of door dings in it, because "Hey, it's going to happen eventually!"

Doubtful. I understand we're talking about something that goes underneath the truck and is subject to a bunch of abuse, but it was bought new, at full price and should look new... my 2 cents...

Man, there are a lot more tin hat wearing conspiracy theorists on here than I would have imagined. Sorry to the OP that your stuff looks to have some serious shipping damage.

Can't wrap my head around some people on here justifying this by saying "it'll look like that in a couple months anyway". Dude, these are without a doubt used. If it were me it would be 25% refund or completely new shipped immediately. And even then I would probably lean toward the new.

A little shipping damage is one thing. A used item being sold as new is another! Given where we are these days with long wait times for just about everything, I could live with a little shipping damage but would expect to be given some level of compensation.

You'd be surprised. I used to work at one of the FEDEX shipping hubs part time when I got out of H.S.

Those packages get yeeted around like worthless trash, kicked, stood on for stacking and whacked/hit when lines jam with management yelling if things seem behind timeline wise.

Most of the hires are guys who can't get another job out there due to arrests and criminal background checks, the others are young dudes like myself at the time trying to make some extra cash on 3rd shift because of something they are chasing.

Got the fuck out as soon as I got my car paid off.

Coilovers are very visible though especially reservoirs, I want mine looking good I've put plenty of miles on mine on the trails of Colorado and they still look good because why wouldn't they?
