Ouch. I cut my thumb slightly the other day on a knife, and last week mashed my pinky finger hard enough to split open. Very very much not like me at all! Don't know what going on. Preoccupied stuff on my mind maybe.
Curious how you wired tail light lamp. I told installers to leave that alone. They were going to use a crimp on (pierce insulation) connector and that to me is a major violation. Lol, I haven't been stopped but figured wired to a trailer light harness, cut and bugger those wires up.

I cut the wire at my taillight, stripped, and twisted those two together then put a crimp connector from them to the shell.

I got this put on my daughters Jeep after I washed my sons car. It didn't need it but much better than the cheaper stabilizer that was on it. And the new part is off the work bench.20210820_102731.jpg 20210820_104339.jpg

Yall would love how I wired in my dual USB in place of the 12v socket then; just twisted the wires and electric taped the shit out of them and stuffed them back in the dash lol.

Years ago a kid came to me asking why he only had one light working on the back of his Ranger.

I told him "look under the drivers rear corner of the frame, you will find 4 cut wires hanging where someone couldn't part with their $2 trailer connector."

"Follow the wires to a big ball of muddy tape covering Scotch Locks, cut out and replace all the coroded wire."

He came in Monday and said "it was exactly what you described."

    I hate Scotch Locks!

Topper looks great Shane, and a killer price for all of those features!
Since we’re talking wiring, I started the major sound system upgrade on the wife’s Camry. New JBL speakers all around, adding a backup camera and the Pioneer DMH-C5500NEX with apple car play and an 8” screen.
A call to crutchfield is in order soon since I needed to stop anyways. For some reason the connector kit doesn’t match up to one of the main connectors on the car.
Also closing the refinancing tonight too! From 30 year to 10 year!:yes:and from 4.25% to 2.5%!
    Have a great Friday friends!

I almost forgot, yesterday on my way to and from S.C. I saw some things I wish I could have gotten photos of.

1- a small Kubota tractor with a loader and backhoe strapped on a small trailer, that trailer was backed onto a gooseneck trailer and strapped down.

2- a motorcycle sitting on a rear hitch of a pickup, the odd thing was the rear wheel was on the ground and he was doing 70+ cause he passed me.

3- for sure was the coolest, I saw a helicopter a long way ahead of me flying from right to left across the interstate and it had something dangling. As I got closer it was a person and they were inspection power transmission lines. The person was on top of a metal transmission pole hanging by the cord from the chopper when I went by. I've seen that on TV before but never in person.
