I ended up making a pigtail to retain the factory connector in case I ever wanted to revert back to stock. :anonymous:

Today's fun...playing with VFDs. Not a cool as most of the machining stuff that's posted in here but its what I get to play with for work.

My 1992 S-10 Blazer had the wiring harness from an 80-something to 1991 Blazer. Confused the Best Buy guy who gave me the 1992 Pioneer adapter when I went back to exchange it.
Isn't that an awesome feeling? :D

That's a good looking Camaro Toe. I got rid of mine to get my Taco. It was a good decision looking back but I still miss it.

Yeah, it’s an incredible feeling! We were only 8 years into our 30 year, but it’s amazing how much a budget can grow over the years as to what’s affordable. We put a pin on the calendar at 5 years that we’ll assess if we want to up and move to a larger place, or potentially build a home on our acreage. We’ll be in a really good place financially by then to pull equity depending on the market.

It sure has been a long time since I’ve installed a stereo, the whole Maestro box that you need to program was a new experience! We’ll see what the Crutchfield tech has to say tomorrow, I’ve got a list of questions for him, the more I think about that rouge connector, I think it may have something to do with the steering wheel control which is now driven by the maestro box.:notsure:
I went into this install thinking that it’d be mostly plug and play with the $50 wiring harness, so I really didn’t research much for the wiring, looks like I’ll have to start using my brain… :bananadead:

I recently saw this method of towing a motorcycle behind an RV, it really caught me off guard. It almost looked like some sort of home made solution and I didn’t stick around behind it long, but I guess it a legit thing!

My 19 Off Road doesn’t have passenger side touch entry. It’s kind of a pain.

Thank you. I think the wife found a decent deal on it. I wasn't real happy about her cosign for my son, just yet anyway. But that's life. It's 2010 with just 24k miles on it. 6 speed manual. I took my son to look at one a week earlier and I drove it, darn near had him soiling his pants. The one we drove was quite beat and a rebuilt title 2015. This one 4k less and powertrain warranty for 5 years or 100k miles. I will most likely find something for myself after my Tacoma is paid off. Year about. I of course must have newer with HUD.
    If he doesn't make payments:annoyed:

For me in 5 years, the kids could be a senior and sophomore in college.

TECHNICALLY in 5 years I think I'd hit the rule of 65 at work and could retire but that won't be happening.

@T-yoda , I seen one of your post the other day regarding a broken rear leaf spring on your sons Tacoma. Was that you looking for other suspension parts too?

I hit rule of 70 on my birthday last month. I guess the only benefit is they would continue to pay what they're paying for my insurance but not until age 60 until Medicare

I thought something was off but I was almost certain it was the rule of 65.

    I guess it's actually 85. :(

@Gregthespy congratulations on that refinance. I know when we refinanced the amount saved over the years was staggering. Legal loan sharks...except instead of collecting a arm or leg they just toss you out on the street
Wife says we got 4 years to go till pay off.

I’m not looking for parts… I rebuilt the rear suspension… just need to find TIME to finish the front shock replacement… have take offs to install

Cool. Glad you found some. Was going to offer you some. I got complete OR suspension from my wifes 2013. Fairly low miles but I forget exactly. 40-60k miles. I bought OME brand all assembled.
