So Lunar Rock will not be available for Sport, OR or Limited?

I thought maybe with the rumors that Cement would be phased out, Lunar Rock would be offered on more trims.

OMG that's an ugly color. Looks like the same green they put on the Kia Soul.

Yes, LR is moving down trim levels since removed from the Pro for 2022, it replaces Cement.

I am looking forward to a FULL electric midsize truck. (Rivian may be the first?). Maybe after the Dakar participation - Audi will enter the off-road segment??

In any case, I will look for a design accounting for the batteries. There will be room in the front (think 'lower' engine compartment - this would leave room for a frunk AND have weight forward for balance. There is room where the undercarriage gear used to be -Transmission, transfer case, prop shafts, fuel tank etc. This volume is significant when all this stuff is removed. (because the motors are at each wheel...) this may leave some room for a trunk in the bed - perhaps...

I do not see any issues having enough space for batteries. This will all need to be protected of course - resulting in a smooth factory-provided bash plate great for off road adventures.

I like the storage space under the rear seats on the Rivian which goes the full width of the truck. (this is where the Rivian's optional electric Kitchen is installed).

Good things are happening. I (admitted gearhead) will not miss ICE vehicles...

2 new “trims” are the Trail Edition and the Nightshade. Nightshade is basically a Limited but decked out similar to the Kia Telluride Nightfall, dark metallic grey and dark accents everywhere. Its going to be right under the Pro in price. I don’t know much about the Trail Edition besides that it comes with coolers or something.

They're not new. The trims already existed.

Well, I was getting worried that I may not be able to order my 22 Pro. Looks like the chip shortage will not affect the Tacos.

Yes, the only Tacoma trim available with the Nightshade package is the Limited. The Nightshade package basically adds blacked out badging, exhaust tip, wheels and black leather versus the hickory. Not sure if anything else? Nightshade comes in 3 colors, MGM, black and white.

I just put a deposit on a Limited Nightshade - I imagine my chances are low. I believe the Nightshades are limited in numbers to begin with.

Toyota should have offered the Nightshade in Cement.

You can place a deposit on a 2022 Tacoma and Tundra already, many dealers are doing so. I already have a deposit for a 2022 Tundra.

How do you know pricing and options if you can't build and price through toyota.com yet?

I wonder is the hickory leather remains - even with the LR?

I wonder how many vehicles by the big 3 that are affected with the chip shortage comapared to Toyota. I do know for a fact that GM has like over 30,000 trucks sitting in a sand pit near their Mexican factory and that amount was about 3 months ago. Just curious as I read that Toyota chip shortage was not as bad as the others cause Toyota was smart during the Reactor leak in Japan that they stocked up on chips if that is true.
