The plate only costs $300..all the mods I see in this TW thread its probably not a large amount of money for most tacoma owners and good luck getting your insurance to pay for an OEM cat is what I was told by a friend who owns a repair shop..to each their own.Was just showing that there is an option out there for individuals who live in an area where this is happening frequently

Yeah, I saw the $300 price, that's about what my deductible is. I will ask for more info about this insurance process tomorrow; my reference is my mother who works for an insurance company FWIW.
It does seem like a solid solution, especially for those who live in areas where this kind of thing is common/increasing.

 

Took a drive out to Vegas this morning and picked up a new RTT and awning from CVT

 

Really hoping to get my ARB awning from 4Wheel Parts sometime in the near future. Been waiting more than a month for an item they advertise as ready to ship, 3-5 day delivery to store.

 

The more I see RTTs the more I think it’s inevitable. Had sights set on a camper but I think it’s tonneau and RTT in the end. Very nice @JFanaselle

 

I added a Redarc trailer brake controller. And a truxedo X15 low pro tonneau cover today.

 

Maybe you should cancel and order a CVT. They had dozens in stock in each color and size when I was there today. And they're running a 20% off Back to School sale this weekend.

In all fairness, though, I'm pretty sure 4 Wheel Parts doesn't actually keep inventory of most of their ARB components. They just dropship them directly from ARB, and ARB is experiencing the same supply challenges as pretty much every other distributor right now.

Thank you! We resisted for a long time, and finally took the plunge about a year ago. It's a game changer in terms of comfort. It was enough of a difference-maker that my wife loves coming on trips now. This new one I picked up today is just the slightly newer version of the one I already had. There was a slight issue with that one, and CVT swapped it out for me. I can't rave enough about their customer service!

 

Front limit straps are on, no more big arse clunk when the front goes airborne. Probably doing my spindle guessets tomorrow and relocating the exhaust/building a new skid for that

Joined the bed mat club after I broke a second loop on the cheap Amaz_n cargo net that held my bag of ratchet straps. Now I have to drill/cut some holes for the drain tubes for my cover.

Don't buy this.
