I really like the cuts you made to the stock bumper cover. Those 05-11 front ends aren't my favorite to be honest when compared to the 12-15 but the cuts you made make it look way less chunky and more aggressive which suits the rest of your set up well.

 

It’s all temporary but yes thank you, those sections kept getting banged up so I just trimmed them. I love the 05-11 because they have a simple and almost retro look to them. 12-15 tacomas still look relevant and not dated at all

 

Loving this build, might have to copy that wheel/tire setup

 

Beefy tundra rack…

 

How much modification is necessary to shove that beast in our tacos?

 

There's a thread around here where a guy explains it, but basically you have to remove the old rack, plasma cut out the mounting points for it that sit in the cross member, cut holes and weld in new mounting points for the tundra rack, and shorten the shafts on either end by an inch or so. Apparently there is just barely enough space for it to fit, especially if you have 4wd and therefore a front differential.

 

Option #1 @Basikbiker sells you a modified tundra rack for $1350

option #2 solomotorsports sells you a modified tundra rack for $1650


Both options require removal of mounting bung sleeves IN THE FRAME & moving each of them outboard 1/2”. Then the intermediate steering shaft (lower section) has to be shortened by about 1”

 

If you look at my IG profile and look at the “story highlights” labeled tundra rack, I’m in the middle of it right now. It’s quite a bit of work.

 

Also solo does not provide any new mounting hardware or new weld in bugs for the frame
