Jd's kit comes with axle extensions and hubs 13" travel for only 2.25 extra width. Or Total Chaos 2 inch kit with Solos spindels, dana 44 extensions and hubs.

How would you run the TC kit (horizontal uniball) with the solo spindle (vertical uniball)?

@mauctopa are you trying to make a decision between JD and TC - wasn’t sure what your post referred to. Camburg makes a fabbed spindle that will work with most long travel kits.

Im looking at solo lt as the most comprehensive and 19" travel kit. JD as the most travel 13" for 2.25" kit. Doesnt come with spindle .

If I use 4.5 lt kit but max out the preload on the coilover to get maximum lift will it reduce my travel numbers? and narrow the overall width? Maybe it'll be more like 3.5 at that point but with more ground clearence ?

I can confirm 4.5” backspacing is the narrowest you can go with 35x12.5’s and spindle gussets. I have 1.25” spacers on the rear but am swapping to 1.5” since I’m barely hitting the shock bodies at full tilt.

I saw some gussets that go on the side of the spindle, if I got new wheels 18" with 4.5 spacing still would that help? The sidewall bulge will be higher

    Hmmmm

that kit is made to be paired with a 10” coilover and removing the coil bucket. It’s a ton of work compared to bolting on a 8” coilover kit. Most of the added travel is up travel which you won’t get with an 8” coilover or without cutting a bunch of sheet metal even with 10” coilovers.

I was just about to comment about the amount of work needed to attain the 19”. @mauctopa are you aiming for something bolt on? Or better question what is the intended use for you truck?

whats your ride height? Looks like it sits low.

I measure center of the top & bottom bolts on the shock for reference.

you also have to do some massive clearancing for the Solo XLt kit to hit those #’s. They tub the shit out of the fire wall and remove the inner fenders too

That’s what I’m getting at. I wasn’t sure he knows the amount of work needed for 19”
