Just a suggestion. The next time you have to fill that nice Taco up with brush, drop in a big tarp in the box first. It makes it easier to haul all the debris out the back by just pulling on the tarp. A big tarp will also help protect the sides of the box when overflowing.

Just wanted to follow up… after exploring many “what-if” situations, general consensus seems to be that if you live in a “high-crime” or “high-risk” area this kind of protection/armor/theft deterrent would be an excellent decision.

While the OEM replacement didn’t seem to be an issue with insurance, if they can prove high crime/risk areas they will fight covering theft. If they do cover it you run risk of them not extending your policy once due up again (I.e. dropping you).

My wife "organized the garage" my tarp has gone AWOL lol. I had the largest piece on bottom it all pulled out with that. Normally though, yeah, tarp goes in before anything else.

"organized" = re-homed all the junk to make it harder to get to when you need it. I'm 100% in touch with this spousal "organizing technique". LOL

What if the theft occurs when you aren’t at home, but are parked in a high crime/risk area? Does insurance tell you that you obviously you shouldn’t have parked your car there?

Pretty sure it was on this thread that someone linked to the black lug nut covers. Thank you to that user! Cheap and satisfactory “fix” to blackout my wheels.

Also just took delivery of the new tweeters. I know you’ve all seen it 1000 times but it still blows my mind to see these side by side.

Tell me more of the tailgate project please!
And, forgive me, the washers still look metal not black—maybe the lighting is throwing me off?

The factory bolts and washers were already black. What is it that you're doing here?

FedEx had it wront. seat covers weren't arriving on Monday. Nice little surprise. Took some work to get them on, but they seem pretty nice. They fit very well. Almost too good. took quite a while to get the front seat covers on. Well worth it though.

The washers are a little darker in person. That’s all I had laying around in the size I want.

I want these anchors to be structurally sound because at this point of the tailgate it will be holding my Bedrug Bedmat in place.
So I added the 1/4 -20 rivi-nuts in the old plastic mounting locations for better use when I need to remove the bedmat for cleaning, and over all a much better anchoring setup when removing, and putting the anchors in.
I’m still looking for some Black 3/4 Washers.

Here’s a picture of the bedmat I’m going with.
On the Tacoma’s the Piece on the tailgate goes under the Tailgate Cap.
