It it consumes oil just add in some super tech 80W90 when it gets low

 

Fixed two manual windows today in an 86 Corolla and 88 CRX. Didn’t make much money from the work but it makes my heart happy not seeing them get rained in anymore.

Both cars are the nicest examples I’ve seen up close in person. I’ve seen a nicer AE85 but this Corolla was the regular Sedan.

This is why I prefer to just give stuff away, can't lowball me if I lowball myself all the way first

 

I like to give stuff away but getting 400 messages and 8 no shows before someone takes it is a barrier I don't want to deal with.

That said I've been cleaning and packing and have 2 trash bags of stuff to give to good will.

 

I totally get it and I do have stuff I should actually sell, I just hate dealing with the process tbh. I've sold a few things on TW though that went well.

 

Doubt oil consumption will be an issue. This damage is barely in the travel of the piston. And you can just barely feel it.

 

In that case...

You could probably slap it together and nobody except you would know. What can you live with?

If it lasts a year I’m happy. I’ll do the ol dingle ball 240 grit, get a decent hone and throw some new rings on a new piston with a new rod (just to not chance rod issues on that cylinder) I have all the used parts I need, I will just swap all the valve springs on the other head too since I don’t trust these
