    I have not heard of anyone having a problem but I think depending on the brush car wash you use it could potentially be a problem. I would suggest taking a minute and removing the plate before going through. Better to be safe than sorry. With the right screwdriver it will take all of a minute to remove and a minute to replace the plate. Not much time for peace of mind and if something did happen then you know the car wash will claim it was not their fault. Personally, I always use touch-less car washes since I am always concerned about scratching the truck with the brushes.
