color me jelly. I drove alongside one of these with an exhaust a few weeks ago going home and that thing was bitchin. I do want to move up to that. We’ll see how the new ones are maybe they will entice but as it is even a Tacoma is overkill

There are certainly worse jobs, but does anyone really enjoy working on drum brakes? Got one side down, braided brake lines installed on the rear. Coming back and finishing the other side and fronts tomorrow, new stainless lines up front too.

I do love having a garage now though. I can actually get away with leaving it on stands overnight.

Installing: Powerstop drums and shoes; EBC slotted rotors and 7000 series pads, Speed Bleeders, and +2" stainless lines all around.

This was on my summer list. I hate working on drums. Guess I better get ordering some parts. I'm at 199xxx on the og set so at least it's not like it's got to be done often.

We have a wedding going on, I'm taking a dinner break.

These people had almost a full 30% of their guest list cancel because of delta and henri fears. All within the last 36 hours. Ain't getting the food money back, ouch.

Then I had tours lined up tomorrow for new couples, but they all were worried about the storm, so I have nothing. Pretty okay with that.

My fronts were due, and with 140k I figured that the rears had to be close. Been sitting on the brake lines and speed bleeders for a couple of years now, kind of waiting for this job. Once and done.

I might have to do my fronts soon. 35k on them. At the very least I’ll probably get some grease in there. same with the rears at least gotta pop the drums. Problem is October is my big “do it before the cold weather, and get fluid filmed” month and this October I’m wheeling the Kentucky adventure trail  gonna be a busy week under there and cleaning it before I get Jason to hit it.

ps drew - welcome to contractor truck gang!!! Without my ditch lights there’s a 72% chance I’m showing up to clean your pool

They said to stay off the cape... so we went to the cape today. Beach was great, weather was great, hot dog stand was great, zero traffic on way there, and traffic on way back wasn't bad either

    Thanks!

    Thanks!

Thanks! The crewmax doesnt look too bad to me other than the bed is basically square. I'd rather have the bed room over another foot of interior space

Thanks! I don't think much will other than some better tires, tint, and vent visors. Plus the exhaust and LED interior lights I already have left over from my previous truck.

I honestly don't mind them now. The key to doing drums is to take the drum off, hose it down with brake clean, build the new set of shoes based off the current drum configuration, and then pull the shoes on the truck apart and add in the tensioner, hook up 2 springs on the truck and the 2 retainers and ebrake cable and good to go

    Thanks Mike!

Bring it on over! I'll do em or show ya

Thanks! Haha my 2011 was white as well

I should suck it up and get wipers sometime. I'm still on my factory set.

Today was an amazing beach day. I didn't get any real time in since I was on yardwork marathon, but I was in Duxbury for the afternoon and took a stroll over the seawall with the kids and at low tide there was just so much beach. I wish I brought my chair.

Anybody have the ability to swap out rear coils on the infiniti? Both my shops are pretty booked. I believe it can be done by just compressing the coils and swapping without any disassembly but I'm not a mechanic sooo...
