    Mornin

ordered new carb for saw#2. Bought one last year but may have internal leak.
Going to change the PITA fuel lines. Limb trimmer chain should be here today so I can play with that.
Elva 50% checked out. Will finish it Tomorrow. Then we load for Lime Rock….
Then we polish the 2000GT to prep for the concourse there. Not going to run it but I’m sure I’m going to have to do the dog and pony show for a few hours. I need to go over my facts to refresh my memory.
I was talking to roughly 50 people at times the last time we brought it.
Henri is on it’s way but seems more of a rain deal than wind.
Good vibes to everyone in his path. Be safe, be smart,

I totally agree, but there is no such program here for that. I have looked long and hard for such a program, even contacted so called animal controll, no luck. The problem is who is going to pay for the surgeries? It does cost money. I cant afford to pay for all of them. I wish I could but I cant. So the problem, if you want to call it that, just continues. So in the mean time until things change here I just fed them so they are not malnourished and provide some shelter from the weather for them. It's a small thing but it's what I can do. But I'll say this, no mice or rats around here, lol.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals and Gals! ONE MORE day of painting. It's kinda' like spending the day in the pool, without the benefit of spending a day in the pool! Seems like forever already, but only started painting on Friday. Thursday was scrape and prep..... I get to put some water back in, so I will float a little higher doing the coping edge today. Remove the old tape, put on new tape, and paint white. That's today.

EDIT: Well, crap! I read the wrong can - epoxy primer you have to add coat in 24 hours. The paint has to cure "72 hours above 75*". The paint was still tacky, and taking the tape off was messy - so it goes on hold at least until tomorrow.....

    Friday after primer;

    20210821_093212.jpg

    Saturday after tile blue;

    20210821_134044.jpg

I guess if there is a perfect time to do this, it's August when the temp is from 80*-100* - cure time is a day or less!

Good luck at Lime Rock, Mike! Win a good tool Mark!

Well, shucks. Nice to be remembered, thank you! Not so sure of the benefits in the Last Man Standing club, though. At 81 now, my friends and relatives are dropping like flies, all the great entertainers are long gone, nobody alive today has any idea what VJ Day means, Let alone VE Day or D Day. Frustrating also, I've always been a DIY guy, now my infirmities decide what I can do with my day, and I have to hire someone to do tasks I'd rather do myself. This for a guy who believes that if you want something done right, do it yourself. ...And ya know, it seems that more people recognize me for how long I've been here rather than the things I'm proud to have accomplished. Whoop de doo.

It makes it tough when there are no programs available. Thanks for being compassionate and providing the care you are able to provide.

Good morning everyone!! The rain has stopped here - radar looks like the worst of it is gone for now. It rained pretty steadily al night from about 6 PM until about 4:30 this morning. I can hear the stream that runs through our property roaring - will head down when it gets light to see if to overflowed at the bridge above our property and washed out the road.

Happy Birthday @wanna taco Alan!!! I hope you had an awesome day!!!

The tool bingo was fun - I actually won a decent creeper but I already have one so I'll donate this one to our church's festival where we do a wheelbarrow of tools.

    Be safe out there!!

Good Morning Folks! Well, disappointment in the shadows. The tile is taking it's time to cure - still tacky this morning, but no blue dot on my finger. Tomorrow will be 72 hours in the early afternoon, so I hope I can get back at it and finish. Last year, I did the coping, and it all was "dry" within a day - but it was over 105 everyday at the time. The coping also gets hot from the surrounding concrete..... Oh well, when it's done, it will stay done a long, long time!
So, other than getting the truck inspected, and scheduling the car for service, I don't have much to do. No, I'm not going to mess with the garage when it's this hot without the pool ready to jump in!

It only works where people care enough to DO IT. I'm all for it. Where I live it isn't realistic.

I get it. When we first started we could only get cat into clinics about a third of the time. Over several years programs improved and we ended up paying for about 50% ourselves and managed to get the other half into a program. At the end of 3 years we paid for about 15 spay/neuter and were able to get about 15 done through a program.

keep caring, do the best you can, encourage like minded neighbors. Your response tells me you are part of the solution, thanks for all you can do.

Good morning everyone!!! The pool is looking great, Kurt!

Finished some concrete repair in the stable yesterday, replaced the waste line on the pool filter and wasted out some water from the storm, and ran some errands. Taking the trailer to Home Depot today to pick up a section of linoleum to put down in the stable where we'll store the beekeeping supplies.

Then I have to take our yellow Lab to the vet - she's been having some infrequent pain in her back ( at least I think it's her back) and it's time to take an x-ray.

    Be safe out there!!

    Morning
    Finalizing race prep last night.

Trying to get answer from the power’s to be if I can get the car on the tail end of one of the slow classes and just drive around for 5 laps to scrub in a set of tires. We only have one practice and need to get the car dialed in so driving around 50% slower won’t help. Sometimes they have hardship track time. Grrrrr

:annoyed: Good Moring all. Pool might be looking good (wife doesn't think so), but it's not acting good. 64/72 hours; tile is still tacky to touch! I know I would not want to put tape on it to mask the last step..... going to have to call the mfg. tech, because the seller knows nothing.

Beautiful machine Mike. Good luck next week.

    Morning all:
That's a neat picture of the car with the body off showing what makes it tick Mike, good luck again at the track!
Had a AH HA moment, was trying to figure out what to put an allen wrench in for the deer carts that is used on shaft collars to remove and install the wheels to break it down. The allen wrench fits perfectly into one of those magnetic key holders and from what I have seen they hold up pretty well, 1 installed 2 to go!

I would assume something didn't work out quite right with the pool project.
