Anyone in the Knoxville area have a welder and wanna make a few bucks? I've got a couple flattened cam tabs and need a bead laid behind them after I bend them back to a 90.

    LED's so far :-/
Made it to the Boro. Did Tucson, Albuquerque, Elk City OK and Little rock.

I used the obd link app with the Toyota/Lexus add on. The torque converter temps stayed normal MOST of the time and peaked only on steep uphills.

Never went above fifth gear, but a LOT of back and forth from fifth to fourth gear to keep up with my wife in her Fusion...max speed 75 kept it at 65-70.

ECT only streets then off once cruising on freeway. Can't even notice the difference at higher speeds..

The U-Haul 6x12 is about 2k pounds empty, 2.5k loaded l, no furniture just boxes.

Overall truck did a great job. Now I'd be confident with a nice size camper ☺️ once I finish building all this dang furniture and shelving lol

    Welcome,

Taco's are great at towing! I've pulled some really heavy loads, I usually just put mine in 4th and go.

Cut & broke off stuff. Prolific ziptie and tape usage.
Looks like same temps my 4Runner got towing from Atlanta to Memphis recently. Mostly 190-ish.

Cons: Urban America / Suburban American are pretty much the same everywhere. If you like that sort of thing you'll find Nashville OK. Pros: If your skill set is useful within the DoD industry look to Tullahoma / Fayetteville, and across the state line in Huntsville, AL - these zone are home to lots of DoD contractors and many former service members plug directly into above average careers there. Look to Oak Ridge if you are technical. We like living in small town TN, when we need a dose of urban TN or Chik-Fil-A, we can go there then come back to our sleepy town. If you are a Tacoma dude you seriously need to tour the state and seek out the natural areas and give your truck some gravel to play on. If you like humid flat featureless places West Tn is for you, rolling hills and rivers: Mid, real hills and fast water, banjos - East TN. TN has some of everything, chances are you can find a spot that fits your needs. Be prepared for less of annoying invasive things and a slower pace, if they don't have that thing at Tractor Supply you probably don't really need it. I'm available if you have language questions. I speak West Texan, Okie and Polk County TN. Good luck!

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
Thanks man. Spent enough time with people from all over I typically understand accents and slang. Hardest I had to learn was Aussie... We think West Virginians are backwoods, those folks are some redneck mofos.

Arkansas would be on the list, but taxes. Taxes and cost of living is driving a lot of this and we have a very small list of states that meet things. I don't necessarily want to work in defense. Yeah, it's what I know. But at some point that industry is going to take a hit.

Question is still, Nashville or Knoxville (areas). Not the cities as a whole.

Aussie is easy, every other word ends in _UNT.

I'm biased and I like Knox, Loudon, Blount, Monroe, McMinn, and Polk Counties better than the Nashville area. I was shocked one time at the volume of traffic in Murfreesboro and Lebanon for example. I've lived urban (Houston-hellscape), remote (Interior Alaska), and rural (Texas rural (home-home) & TN rural) and I'm more suited to rural / edge of full on rural. I've explored the Nashville zone and the urban vibe reaches out further than Knoxville. That's my bias, others may like or love Nashville for their reasons, bless their hearts. Having said that I'd pick Nashville over any other non-TN place, just a few more miles out. Due to DoD work history we almost settled in/near Huntsville, AL but it's grown too much, taxes sux, and DoD can be a drag sometimes - I switched out of that mode too at some point. Good luck!

When I moved back, I came to middle TN because I have family here. If they weren't here, I'd have chosen somewhere on the east TN border. Probably somewhere around Johnson City, but defiantly east of Cookville and Chattanooga. God really blessed that side of the state with great landscaping!
