I thought it was the slide rack that was the issue with the filter???? Though I’m not sure if the Howe pump adapts to the 3rd gen engine??? Am I wrong here??

That's kinda how it began for me. I wanted to beef up the LCA pivots and then I was like.....well why not do literally everything else while we're at it

Find the monies somewhere for it. I’ve had it a month and still doesn’t seem like my truck when I drive it.

Thank you for doing so. I believe the shocks I will be using after Fox services them came from your previous build. Wheels from Kasnerd (thanks Shawn) rear springs from another JD build (installed after refreshing with new anti friction sliders, bushings and a repaint). And ovrlndkull for the upper arms.

Any concerns with vertical dynamic load capacity of your receiver structure?

Yep it’s probably just a few paychecks away as I’d really like to do it before we get snow this winter. It’s coming sooner than later finally. Just still scratching my head over the quickener or not.

At least the quickener is a totally stand alone product so you can always prioritize the pump and then go for the quickener later.

Exactly. Luckily the wife saw the struggle to steer yesterday so it will be an easy sell on her for me to make the purchase.

    Too many to remember
The pump isn’t gonna magically make a locked front end on 37’s steer like a dream in the rocks, the only way to do this is add a ram. While the pump with make a big difference the place where it really shines is in eliminating the awful feedback every Tacoma has. I can’t stand driving a Tacoma with a stock pump and I’ve said it before but it’s the single best mod for a Tacoma. I’d sell the shocks off my truck just to get a pump, it makes that much of a difference

Anything is going to be better than the stock one. But I appreciate the feedback. Definitely not expecting it to turn like a full hydro setup but man was steering impossible yesterday way too often. First time in the rocks in a while and everything worked amazing except steering. Eliminating the feedback in the steering at speed will be a huge benefit as well.

On the pump kit note, online it shows -4qty. What’s the lead time looking like for it?

Be super freaking careful with the Howe pump when your front is locked. I never had the issue before the pump, but now when I turn the wheel at say 5mph while locked it will literally take the wheel out of my hands. I almost pissed my pants the first time it happened because I was headed down hill. Now I am mindful of it, and it doesn’t happen anymore. But yeah. It’s freaky.
