The ultra rich whining about having to live on a budget. All I can say is welcome to the world of small teams like Haas and Williams so STFU and experience how the poor teams have to operate.

 

Just going out on a limb here , but pretty sure the small teams would be fine being credited against the cost cap for crash damage that resulted through no fault of their own but I guess thats not negative enough lol

 

F1 is totally fucked up enough with the money problem, hoping they don't entertain this kind of idea. i'm envisioning the unbearable whining Horner whining ad nauseum. and it will always be someone else's fault.

 

IIRC the smallest teams were going to have a difficult time spending up to the cost cap. Maybe that changed with the infusion of Russian and Dorilton money though.

 

I'm a little surprised by that. Japan just hosted the Olympics "in a bubble" and the F1 traveling circus is much smaller and its COVID "bubble" procedures are effective and well established.

 

Is there a particular weekend event that you can recommend that is similar to the Goodwood Festival of speed where you get to see road & race cars of all eras actually being driven. At the FOS theres also dozens of car associations/clubs putting on car shows etc? Primarily looking for Midwest & west coast.

Yeah, sorry link didn’t make it through the first time. Definitely worth a look it’s a good event. My friend helps campaign some of the first cars that raced at Indy and they absolutely hang it all out there.

Moving back to the mainland in a few weeks to do some traveling and looking for stuff to put on the calendar for this year and next. This Monterey car week is definitely gong on the calendar, gonna be a long wait!
