Not needed. My last bed decal on my 2008 had lots of small pieces. By far they all lasted the 14 1/2 years I had my 2008 Tacoma. A few had lifted slightly after that amount of time but were mostly still intact. Here is a shot of the decal I placed on my 2008.

I believe it. I personally don't see a need for a clear coat type thing but I figured I'd throw a suggestion to someone if they felt the need. My dad made me many stickers for vehicles over the years and none of them lifted/frayed/deteriorated. I believe we only put the clear coat on the last few and I got rid of that vehicle before I could see any long term effects.

Thanks. I wasn’t sure if the lights for the pro grill would work.

I’ve noticed that the OEM decals like to chip around the edges once they’re a few years old. Guessing it’s a combination of carwash scrubbing, drying, and the seasonal temperature changes that brittles the vinyl.

If you want to prevent shackle theft, I recommend you have someone in a truck tug on the shackle with a winch. This will tighten the shackle and make it physically impossible to loosen with bare hands. To loosen, stick an allen wrench through the hole and twist… the wrench will give you better leverage.
