Honestly the best people to hear from are on forums. Don't forget all the guys on YouTube make money when you watch their content in one form or another. Take their reviews with a grain of salt but I like Robski, flannel daddy and Brandon Dipshit Herrera. That guy can make me laugh so hard with the stupid stuff that comes out of his mouth

The AK platform is vast and has lots of niche things. You'll see guys collect nothing but bayonets or other guys collect mags. All while Boris down the street collects Soviet hats. AK guys are weird but we have cooler stuff than AR guys:boink:

Just look at these rare mags. They are 1 of 15 each in the entire world

my cabela's was a bit greedy with their ammo shelf - that 54r was 37.99 btw, bottom shelf was the usual hornady 50bmg but at 90$ a box with a full shelf of it....

It shoudnt take long for wolf or Tula to set up shell companies in a sister country to repackage and sell their ammo to the US. It wont be cheaper but it should still fill a gap.

I don't care about the shortage, I just want to be able to use regular 5.56 AK mags instead of the Saiga mags.

It's got a 20.5" barrel, so it would be nice to shorten that a bit, maybe put an adjustable gas block on it too.

With a bullet guide from dinaz you should be able to use regular mags. As for conversion do you know who's doing it yet?

Got a BG coming from Carolina Shooter Supply along with some other stuff.

And no, I was actually asking for recommendations. My local 'smith can handle the BG, but it doesn't look all that hard to do, so I might do it myself.

Yupp CSS gets theirs from Dinzag. It's pretty easy to do yourself if you're careful and take as much time as possible. I would look at CW gunwerks for the conversion for you. They do great work from their IG page

They're near Houston, right? Or am I getting it mixed up? At work, so not gonna look that up right now. Surfing TacomaWorld's gun page is perfectly fine though:p
