Just installed it, have one question.
After using the metal "tie wraps" on the harness under the truck, did you cut off the excess?
I just wrapped it around to keep it from sticking out.

I didn't cut mine. Mainly because they appeared to be very hard to cut.

I cut mine off, no sense in leaving it up there to collect dirt and grime or to rattle and make noise IMO:notsure:

I just wrapped ‘em around once more and slid the remaining tail into the loop. NBD.

I cut mine, but if you have them secured out of the way, I’m sure it’s fine. If I didn’t have anything to cut them easily, I would have wrapped it around like others mentioned.

Nope no cutting for me. Just wrapped the tail end back around so it wasn't sticking out.

i wrapped mine around as well. would rather have the excess than a sharp edge to cut myself on later.

    Yes.
Side cutters, dikes or electrician snips will do the trick

I installed one but do any Tacomas come from the factory with the power tailgate lock? I see it as an accessory on the Tacoma build website.

I originally "ordered" the 2021 TRD OR DC with it but for some reason it didn't come through with it, so I had to do it myself.
