2018 TRD-OR 4x4 AT w/ Premium package! Have loved this truck since I bought it as a certified pre-owned with 1000 miles 3 years ago. I have essentially crawled it and trailed it stock and it has blown me away with how great it is!

 

I’ll be honest I only got red because it was a good deal and no other color was available in TRD OR and I was kinda bummed out but man 1 week into owning it and I can’t stop staring. I will take the trash out even when it’s only halfway full just to look at the truck

 

That’s why I keep a picture of the truck on my phone. I will sometimes just stare at that picture while at work.

Just picked up this DCLB about a week ago! I never thought I would've gone with red, but the more I see it the more I like it. I really love the truck now and can't wait to do my first couple mods to it. Going to start simple with a black grille and overlay black decals. I'm new to the Tacoma ownership world and would love to hear everyones opinions on what grill and decals to go with. Also looking into the black TACOMA inlay for the tailgate.

 

My preference is to debadge rather than vinyl overlay. I got rid of the Tacoma and V6 badges and bedside decals. The clean looks do it for me. But that's my preference. There are plenty of options if you wanna keep the badges.

My taco came with the 3d vinyl letters for the tailgate. Those I have kept. It's a nice contrast.

If you don’t mind, how did you go about removing the badges and decals? Was it difficult and did it leave residue that required special clean up? I’m going to keep them on for awhile but might wake up one day and decide to delete them.

 

I put a heat gun to them and just peeled em back slowly. I didn't have any residue left over but did need to wash and wax the area since it'd been covered by the decals for 25k miles.

 

Really like the Topper! Any insight on what brand and where it can be found?

Shot of my baby before the Switzerland Trail outside of Boulder, CO. Was a great day. Nice and easy but plenty of fun to be had by all. Some great views as well.
