So I finally received my CSF radiator just to find out that they did not include a cap, I called them to inquire about that (whether they are sold separately or not) to get hung up on (no joke, I asked if I can talk to a technician and they hung up on me hahaha, so I hope their products are better than their customer service)

my question is, is there any radiator cap that will work? I tried the factory cap from the 4.0 radiator without any luck...

If I recall correctly it is a mini style radiator cap. They are a universal size. Look at part number 4504 csf or 10233 stant.
Or any equivalent brand cap size.
Yes I should have came with a radiator cap. Sorry to hear about the bad customer service.

thanks guys! I managed to track down a cap from a local radiator shop that happens to be a distributor for CSF, they were surprised by my experience.

All that matters is for that radiator to do its job in the sweltering heat of the Arabic peninsula (where it's gonna be for the foreseeable future, so much to explore!)

What was your issue with the shroud? I just got one of their newest version ones. I haven't checked mine yet just installed rad but haven't fitted shroud.

did they make changes on "new versions"? The mounts on the radiator do not let the fan shroud sit flush, so you need to Macgyver the radiator with either some trim or something else. Too much air escapes the way it sits or did. If they fixed that, then you are good to go. If not, read through the thread on the different options for running a seal between the shroud and radiator.

Got it. I wasn't sure if it was just the FJ versions that had the issue. I think I know what you mean and I have some weatherstripping that may work from the roof rack.

nice, you don't need to be very thick or hard just enough to make a seal. It was with the Tacoma versions too. At least that's what I had. I need to pull mine and reseal it but def was not fun being out in the middle of some trails and my trans light coming on because my truck was cooking. Never had an issue before, a good thing you got it ready now.
