Spent Saturday making the FPK loop with @bronco290! Had a blast yesterday, especially the ride in solitude heading up to the Knob, and even with the tire blowout (of course I gotta break something to keep the username!).

Great time flexing it out in some of sections, forwards and backwards!!!

Sadly my first trail "issue", but also only my second trip to FPK. Screwed up my 5 tire rotation...we shall see what DT does via certificate, and if I just replace all 5 later.
Thanks, I was surprised it went as smoothly as it did, but then again Don was Johnny on the spot with the high lift, and that kobalt 24v impact was smooth and silent when using! I'm certainly glad to be able to be doing this shit...not sure the PT folks need the details on 89+ pound tire swapping! Definitely helped it wasn't blistering hot and humid.

My wiring harness decided to shit the bed on me out at flagpole, right at those rocks you came down. I would glady change a tire than have to deal with that stuff again. You got those tire at discount in Fredericksburg? Let me know how they treat you

I got them in Newport News, the group there and in Williamsburg have always been good to deal with, but then again this is my first flat.

Hell my wife had a flat back in April and I sent her to the Williamsburg location, they didn't have the OE tire, but hooked her up with a loaner tire until the new one came in a day or three later. They also now rotate all her tires, and then two weeks ago she got another flat (same spot, different tire) and they were able to plug and patch it...no charge!

I did 68 once. It added about 90 minutes, and Pittsburgh construction was a mess. Agreed, if we weren't headed to MI 68 would have been a good option. It is a nice ride.

We're looking at a Grand Canyon trip in October. If my wife can get enough time, we'll take the truck out there. When we did Yellowstone, we arrived our third night on the road at Gardiner. But we also stopped at Devils Tower, Mt. Rushmore, Badlands, and Wall Drug's for the obligatory picture. 12-14 hour days both ways.

I stopped at all of those too, except Mt Rushmore.. I heard it was underwhelming, so i skipped it.

    Definitely awesome out there

We got there just before sunset. We had time to walk the trail under it before it got dark. We saw it lit up at night, Then the veterans and active miitary were brought down, asked when and where they served, then lowered and folded the flag. My knees were pretty sore, so I didn't go down there. That was actually a pretty nice end to the day and a great set up for Devils Tower and Badlands.

That must have been nice! I was also passing by during the week of Sturgis, so plenty of bikers too. In Badlands and Wall Drug. I went down to Devil's Tower, but didnt feel like paying $25 to go a little closer. Parking lot was good for me.

I was really surprised by Badlands. Wish I could have stayed longer. But i was kind of on a deadline to get to Montana by the 13th to get my GFC installed.

I used to drive it to college like 100 years ago and hated it back then. Drove through PA last week on my way back from NH and was on a stretch of highway that was 2 lanes, both shoulders closed with Jersey barriers on each side and lots of trucks. Talk about white knuckles...only in PA

Sup gents? First time posting in a long time. Long story short, selling my truck... I am wanting to trade my SCS SR8 with Falken Wildpeaks 275/70/17 for stockers or something else plus cash. Trading it in and am getting the same regardless or wheels/tires so anyone looking for some new wheels, let me know. Installed the wheels/tires in October and the tires have about 12k on them. Need to get better pics but here are a few for now. Truck is going to the shop today and I will get it back in a few weeks... will be looking to trade then.

Also for sale will be still in the box JBA UCA's, Bilstein 5100 extended length rear shocks and extended brake lines. Let me know if anyone is interested.

Have you asked the dealership if they will transfer your wheels and tires over to the new truck?
