Yep, same as my buddies 2019, and my 2020. This air dam makes it tougher to remove the engines skid plate.

I pulled/removed those metal fastener clips, also.

Nope. I don’t think keeping or removing those metal fasteners would make any difference with noise. Once the screws are out there just isn’t any need for them. If you want the option of putting the spoiler back on, then I’d leave the metal fasteners in place. I just pulled them off but it’s not a big deal either way.

Thanks. I did leave mine in place in case I decided to return to stock, but the Air Damn would be much easier to sell with the hardware if I go that route.

I took it off initially but put it back when I added step rails and besides, I didn’t have the room in my garage.

Ha! Yeah, mine's in my attic. I'm a bit north of Seattle if anybody wants it for free.

Value looks over function? take it off. Go offroading? take it off. If you only drive your truck on pavement keep it on. It will save you some money on gas.

I'll add if you tow a lot or have a lift/big tires, that air dam is useless

In my opinion...useless as tits on a boar hog. Mine came off immediately. Also useless is their thin metal and plastic rear bumper, all the pieces probably didn't weigh ten pounds. Swapped it out for a REAL bumper, an 80lb BA solid steel. Gives me better traction on wet roads and anybody texting will get a big surprise when they rear end me. My old 86 4x4 didn't come with an air dam but it did come with a solid steel step bumper. A lady rear ended me in it and it destroyed the front of her car. :muscleflexing:

If your concerned with getting better fuel economy, and less highway wind noise, leave the air dam on.

It's just simple aerodynamics. The lower your front end is and the flatter your undercairage is the better aero you will get.

I'll take my chances with my pussy engineer designed crumple zones while your real man aftermarket parts deliver all that impact directly to your frame.

If aerodynamics is what you want...get a Ridgeline or one of other 4 door wanna be truck/cars with a small open trunk.

With my trailer hitch sticking out it'll likely negate any crumple effect anyway poolfixer and I still save everything else from typical 10-15mph hit from a texter.

First thing that came off the truck and went straight to trash. There is absolutely no use for it. 'Yota makes it so it can match some standard. However, drop the skirt and get some underbelly protection. Will look better and be functional.

It’s a good idea to take it off, because it looks terrible with it on.

Fair point, although I could say the same for any double cab owner. That bed is too small and your back seat legroom sucks. At least a Ridgeline isn’t hiding the fact it’s just a utility vehicle for trips to the Home Depot which fills most people’s needs. The amount of TRD Offroads I see down here in the Miami area is insane. Those trucks never go off-road and are strictly pavement Publix and Home Depot runners. Paying extra money for 4 wheel drive and the additional hardware and maintenance while never using it is something I just don’t see the value in. I agree that having more substantial bumpers in low impact collisions may benefit you. But if you are at fault, that may cause more damage and a hit on your insurance.

and that is all your opinion. You see value in a 2wd. Others see value in a 4wd. I used four-wheel-drive quite a bit for the 16+ years I lived in Miami and Tampa. I can’t count the amount of times I saw a guy fail to get a boat out of the water with his 2wd truck.
