Well, I'm not. 18 months of working from home now.... hasn't helped. I can't speak for anyone else, though.

The Caldor Fire in my area is now at >100,000 acres, still 0% contained. I know several friends that have been evacuated, and it is entirely possible some of them may have lost their homes, not sure yet, though.

Wouldn't say I'm getting "skinny" but I shed over 40 lbs a couple years ago and have managed to keep it off. The only downside is I gotta watch how much I drink (have to choose wisely how often I over imbibe) and had to pretty much cut out the carbs from my diet.

Yeah, didn't do me any favors either but most of my struggle is probably more move/house stress induced. Slowly and painfully dropping the weight again :fingerscrossed:

I've got a few old co-workers evacuated from Caldor and a friend in Camino who keeps posting videos from her house. No mention of any of them losing a home yet which is good news. What a horrible weather season it's turning out to be for everyone.

Nice! I probably need to do the whole 30 thing and figure out some of my issues but geeze I hate doing that. We had lettuce wraps the other night and omg the bloating. I think I need to be skipping lettuce now, wtf?!

I may try the crack diet. Smoke crack for 60 days followed by 30 days in rehab. That should do the trick. :notsure:

Wow... lettuce causing bloating? WTF is right!
Good luck figuring it out. It's definitely a good feeling to be at a decent weight. :fistbump:

I hear you... I used to come home and down two to three beers (maybe four or five on a good night :anonymous:) or cocktails almost every night after work. Problem was, my self discipline would go to hell after the second or third beverage. Then out came the Nacho Cheese Doritos or Cheetos Puffs, cookies, ice cream, etc. It caught up to me after a while :bananadead:

I'm an Information Technology engineer, I work for a rather large company (50,000+ employees) doing Major Incident Management. so I am tied to my desk and spend a large portion of my day on Zoom calls working with various other IT teams to fix shit that breaks and causes big pain to a significant number of other employees.

Of course I have some pretty serious back and hip issues that make it rather difficult to be as active as I was 15 years ago, so it isn't entirely Covid lockdown induced.

Desk jobs are tough on the body. I too am in IT and have sat looking at a computer screen for 20 years. Besides the bad posture, my eyes are bad, had two carpel tunnel surgeries, ulnar nerve relocation surgery and headaches.

I told my wife, next ailment just put me down! :anonymous:
