Tufskinz Mud Flaps?

US$79 for four. I have a full size 2500 with flaps the run me into better than $200 for two rear. This $79 was OK by me.

 

yes, all 4 11x18. if i had to do it again, i may have opted for 11x20 on the front. i am a road runner, truck will never see major offroad, crawling, wheeling. Ski

unless you get the "molded" flaps, the remainder of the offerings out there are just like this... flat flaps, with spacers. rekgen, rockblocks tufskinz etc... personally, i like them. your results may vary. Ski

 

I'd like to find something that I could bolt to the factory OEM flap side and bottom perimeter to give them more width/length in a rubber/flexible construct. Assuming this could be down with two or three holes drilled the the factory product to mount addition rubber product on the tires side.

Might have to make my own..

 

Thank you for the idea. I have these of which I spoke and may cut them down to see how your idea may work. The only thing I can foresee is the difference in the texture of the two materials.

true on the material difference. For me I'd like them when doing lots of gravel roads or in winter with severe highway salting. Wonder if you could save the OEM and buy an aftermarket that mounts similar and doctor it with an addition for length/width. Keep the OEM for re-installment if desired.

 

Just got the Tufskinz mud flaps. Plain black with no logo and standard length front and rear.

anyone running 265/70/17s on stock suspension and these flaps? If so, any rubbing? I have the tufskinz and love them, now I want to get new tires.

 

I have just that. 2021 TRD Sport, stock wheels and suspension with WildPeak 265/70R17 and the regular length mudflaps from TufSkinz. No rubbing issues.

 

I posted this in a different thread before I realized there was a thread specific to this product, but I thought I'd ask here too:

The screw Tufskinz provides with the plastic spacer is supposed to screw into a hole with a plastic factory grommet/plug, not a factory bolt. If I take the grommet out, the screw Tufskinz sent is too small and doesn't thread in. Are we supposed to screw right into the grommet? I imagine that would mangle the grommet. Has anyone had any issues with this?

 

You know what they say about a photo vs words... I think you are talking about the below "posts" and I believe I've screwed directly into what you are calling the grommet. Here are photos from both the front and rear of my 2021.

So far mine are fine.. but longevity of my install is really only ~5months based on the date I ordered and the post I made above to this thread. Perhaps some guys with 2019s or earlier might chime in on that particular question.

 

how did you get the factory screws to thread into the original holes? They seem too short with the tufskins mudflaps and washer.

 

I have had the standard length ones since the week I brought my truck home in late July 2020 mine are holding on fine and I have zero complaints. I have 265/75/16 tires on stock suspension and no issues with rubbing at all either.

 

Would have been better had the mud flaps scripted 4x4 instead of 4wd...I don't drive a subaru...(nothing wrong with them)

 

I think they can do a custom designs. You chould message them or send them a design and see what they say.
