Mobil 1 offers / rebates

Just a reminder for those of us who do our own oil changes using Mobil 1 products..... be sure to always check out the Mobil 1 website for current offers and rebates.

For instance, today I just needed a 5-gallon jug of 0W20 to supplement my existing inventory of a few quarts of the same I already had. Went to my local WalMart just down the street and Mobil 1 and WalMart currently have a rollback price of $22.37 compared to their regular price of $25.47 for the jug.

After I got home, submitted an online copy of the receipt from WalMart to Mobil 1 and instantly got approved for a $10 rebate.

Bottom line, total cost for a 5 quart jug ended up being $12.37. Hard to beat that.

On the Mobil 1 rebates there are different rebate amounts depending on what "version" of Mobil 1 you buy. Today, by luck, at my WalMart the shelves were somewhat barren on types of Mobil 0W20 so had to settle on the high mileage version. Just so happens that type pays the highest $10 rebate - ha.

This has been going on for years, haven't paid full price for Mobil 1 in almost a decade with these rebates.

 

Good reminder; I got my Visa card rebates a couple weeks ago. Definitely worth submitting since Pennzoil has chosen very specific and not readily available stores for theirs.

 

The extended is currently $2 more, but gets you $5 more in rebate… limit 2 in rebate.
Maths:
+ (2 x 24.37) = $48.74
- (2 x 15.00) = $30.00
Cost = $18.74
($9.37/bottle or $1.87/qt or 5.8₵/oz.)

 

same. my $30 is in the mail. i bought one to try it out and it worked great so i went back and got another.
takes about 45 days from submission to cards in hand but approval of submission was about a week. website is excellent for tracking progress.

Hey, thanks for that! I'm new to the Tacoma and ran another oil in my other vehicles- I was not aware of these rebates. I just signed up and will be getting $10 at some point. Thanks for letting us know!

 

Sweet! Time for another reload! Thanks for the heads up! I have 1 or 2 5 gals left so i'll probably get another 2 to save. Since both our cars use the same oil.
